MIGHTY OAK LEGACY SOCIETY

The Mighty Oak Legacy Society is a distinguished community of individuals dedicated to the preservation and protection of nature through the establishment and support of Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. Inspired by the symbolism of an oak tree, a majestic and enduring tree known for its strength, longevity, and connection to nature, this society aims to leave a lasting impact on the environment for future generations.

Mission:

The mission of the Mighty Oak Legacy Society is to create and maintain Heckrodt Wetland Reserve that serves as a sanctuary for diverse flora and fauna, fosters environmental education, and promotes accessibility to nature for all.

Member Benefits

How To Become a Member

  • Membership in the Mighty Oak Legacy Society is open to individuals who share a deep passion for accessibility to nature, habitat preservation and a desire to make a
    lasting difference.
  • To become a member, individuals are invited to make a minimum financial contribution through a planned gift of $10,000 in one of the following ways:
    • Bequest
    • Stock/Security
    • Life Insurance Beneficiary
    • Retirement Plan Beneficiary
    • Charitable Gift Annuity
    • Charitable Remainder Trust
    • Charitable Lead Trus
