Heckrodt Wetland Reserve has developed scout programs based on the requirements of BSA Cub Scout Awards of Merit. We strive to give scouts of all levels an opportunity to earn awards in an outdoor field setting. If you have a suggestion for a program idea or topic, please feel free to let us know. Boy Scouts — Environmental Science Merit Badge Clinic – FULL
An Environmental Science Merit Badge Clinic is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026 from 9AM-3PM. Preregistration and payments are required in advance.

- There will be a $15 non-refundable processing fee in the event you must cancel for the Environmental Science Merit Badge Clinic. You may receive a refund minus the $15 processing fee if cancellations are made ten business days before session begins.

Girl Scouts
Our naturalist will work with your troop to develop a program for any nature badge or journey. Programs must be arranged in advance and a prepaid reservation made. Fee is $9/scout with a minimum of $45. For more information contact Andrea Bierbrauer.

(Can also schedule afterschool or school early release days.)
