Calendar Photo Contest

Enter our annual Heckrodt Wetland Reserve Photo Contest for your chance to have your photo featured in our yearly calendar! Deadline for submitting photos is September 15, 2023 by 4 PM.

Each year, Heckrodt opens up this contest to photographers ages 15 and up to submit their best photo(s) from the Reserve. Winners are chosen by a panel of judges based on artistic composition, seasonal variety, and location of the photo, with each winner being awarded a complimentary calendar upon printing.

This contest will provide photos for our 2024 calendar.

Photos can be submitted to HWR via Google Drive, Compressed (zip) file, or jump drive. We no longer have the equipment to read CD/DVD.

Google Drive Directions: Go to link: Google Drive Link and create a folder with your name on it and save your photos. Don’t forget to save your application in the folder too.

If you would prefer to use the zip file method to transmit your photos, please do the following:
Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name. This folder can then be emailed to [email protected] .
