HWR Birding Club Outing
Have you ever seen Sandhill Cranes and a Bison herd at the same time? If you go on this outing you will be able to. In August we saw representatives of each species of crane from around the world. This month we will focus on the Sandhill Crane along with many of its birding cousins during our trip to the Sandhill Wildlife Area near Babcock, WI. This area normally has a wide variety of water birds along with shore birds. There is a self-guided tour of the property where we could see Bald Eagles and many other species up close.
Meet at 7:30 AM in Heckrodt parking lot: back by 3PM. Bring a sack lunch you can eat on the go.
This outing is intended for members of the HWR Birding Club and their guests. Children 12 and older that are interested in birding can attend with a club member or a guest.
There is no fee and registration is not required.
